St Albans Postboxes December 2021

Yep, for one week only we are auctioning off post boxes.  Well not whole post boxes, obviously, but the spaces on top of them as part of the St Albans Postboxes yarn-bombing that happens in December.     Each year the postboxes are covered with brightly coloured crafted “toppers” and local companies are invited to sponsor the toppers to boost the sponsorship, and to advertise themselves locally.    We sponsored a topper last year, but decided this year we would do a little more by way of throwing our auctioning expertise behind it.

So from 9am today, until 4.30pm on October 4th you will be able to place bids on twelve of the top locations in and around St Albans to advertise your company, business, restaurant or just yourself.    Bidding starts from £125.  You don’t have to make the topper yourself, there’s a team that have done that bit for you and another team who will attach the topper to your chosen postbox too.   All you need to do is bid for the location you would like to be yours and we will do the rest to ensure everybody knows you were the fabulous people that sponsored that topper.

All the money raised goes to two fantastic local charities, Youth Talk and ADD-Vance, both of which are close to our hearts.  Youth Talk provides free, confidential counselling to 13-25 year olds in St Albans and surrounding areas and ADD-Vance is a Hertfordshire based charity that supports families affected by ADHD, Autism or a related condition and the professionals who support them.   Last year St Albans Postboxes raised over £25,000 and we would love to smash that figure.
