Comic Art is the actual pages that the artists work on, which are then used to create the comic books. They are generally oversized and black and white, as the colouring is done at a later stage.

Some of the most well-known artists are Jack Kirby (Fantastic Four, X-Men, Avengers, Thor), Steve Ditko (Spider-Man, Doctor Strange) and Frank Miller (Daredevil, Wolverine), with many pieces of art commanding the same prices as one might expect in fine art auctions.

In December 2025, we sold a fantastic Dan Dare centrespread artwork from 2000 AD Prog #1, which sold for a very respectable £23,400 (including buyer's premium), and we're currently in the process of cataloguing the Peter Hansen collection of British comic art and British comics, including pieces by Frank Bellamy (The Eagle, TV21 Thunderbirds), Ian Kennedy (The Wizard, Buster, Dan Dare, Star Lord), Ron Turner (Gerry Anderson, Astounding Stories, The Daleks, Star Trek, Judge Dredd)
